Vincent Hepp graduated with high honours at the Brussels Conservatoire in both violin and viola, and at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel and the Musikhochschule Frankfurt ; he was a laureate at the ‘Vieuxtemps’, ‘De Bériot’, ‘Chostakovich’ (Moscow), ‘Gdansk’ (PL) competitions.
He is a founding member of the Taurus Quartet and performs regularly with Ensemble Modern, Ictus, Oxalys, Het Collectief a.o.
He served as solo viola at the Philharmonique de Liège and at the Opera Royal de Wallonie, subsequently taking up the place of viola-first soloist at the Théâtre Royal de La Monnaie.
Vincent teaches violin and chamber music at the Brussels and Liège Conservatoires.
